A SENATE RESOLUTION

TO HONOR AND RECOGNIZE NOLE BOYS LOGGING, LLC, AN AFRICAN-AMERICAN, FAMILY OWNED AND OPERATED LOGGING BUSINESS.

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate recognize small businesses as the backbone of the State's economy; and

Whereas, Nole Boys Logging, LLC was first established as Albert Nole Logging in 1956 in Jamestown, South Carolina by Albert Nole, Sr. The business specialized in short wood pulpwood; and

Whereas, the business became Nole Boys Logging, LLC in 2002, upon the retirement of Albert Nole, Sr.; and

Whereas, the "Nole boys," Albert "One Stoney" Nole, Jr., Albert Otis "Sport" Nole, and Alden "Master" Nole are the three sons of Albert Nole, Sr. These three are the present owners and oversee the day-to-day operation of the business; and

Whereas, Nole Boys Logging, LLC thrives presently after more than sixty years as an environmentally friendly logging operation specializing in tree length logs, clean chips (used for making paper), and fuel chips (used for energy/bio mass); and

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate look with great interest to hear of Nole Boys Logging, LLC's success in the many generations to come. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, honor and recognize Nole Boys Logging, LLC, an African-American, family owned and operated logging business.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to Albert "One Stoney" Nole, Jr., Albert Otis "Sport" Nole, and Alden "Master" Nole.
