Whereas, over the course of the week, students raised over four thousand dollars to support Katrina's Kids and collected book bags and school supplies for children in need; and

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate appreciate the pride and recognition that Gilbert High School has brought to its community and the State of South Carolina and look forward to a future filled with further accomplishments by these motivated students. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the members of the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, congratulate the Gilbert High School Student Council, student body, advisors, and school officials on the school's first annual charity week, Tomahawk Fest 2019, and commend them for their hard work and fundraising efforts for the children of this State.
