A senate RESOLUTION

TO RECOGNIZE AND HONOR Jessica Fry, founder and CEO of Wild Hearts Equine Therapy Center.

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina Senate are pleased to recognize Jessica Fry, founder and CEO of Wild Hearts Equine Therapy Center, for her leadership and service; and

Whereas, Jessica founded Wild Hearts in 2014 with a vision to help underserved people and rescue horses. Her vision has now blossomed into a thriving center of healing for people in Oconee County and other Upstate communities; and

Whereas, serving children, adults, families, and veterans, Wild Hearts provides over one hundred individual therapy sessions each week. In the fiscal year ending June 30, 2023, Wild Hearts provided over four thousand equine therapy sessions, served over five thousand volunteer hours, and gave away nearly thirty thousand dollars in free services; and

Whereas, Wild Hearts has been providing subsidies for its equine therapy services session fees since its inception. In the last three years alone, Wild Hearts has provided over sixty thousand dollars in free services to children and families in need. Military families and veterans are never charged any fees; and

Whereas, as CEO, Jessica has selflessly pushed on through financial difficulties, foregoing any salary for herself, to make Wild Hearts work. She diligently strives to help as many people as possible while also providing permanent sanctuary to the rescued horses that partner with people in need; and

Whereas, over the years, Jessica has demonstrated her fortitude, commitment, and perseverance, qualities that are the epitome of the spirit of people in the Upstate. She is dedicated to serving others, providing permanent sanctuary to rescued horses and donkeys, and making a lasting difference in lives of Upstate citizens; and
