What are Calendars and Journals?
Calendars are lists of pending legislation and detail the order of business for each legislative day. They are printed for each statewide session day and placed on the Members' desks each morning. Daily Journals are records of the daily proceedings. They include messages, roll calls, Members' remarks that they request to be printed and actions taken on all legislation considered that day. Permanent Journals are the official records of the proceedings of the House and the Senate. They are compiled from daily journals and are indexed, printed and bound for each legislative Session. The Permanent Journals are indexed by sponsor, bill number, subject and general information.
