New Symbols and Emblems Designated During 2009 Legislative Session
The Legislature enacted legislation during the 2009 Session that created three official State symbols. Act Number 58 of 2009 designates the following:
Official State Duck is the Wood Duck
Official State Marine Mammal is the Bottlenose Dolphin
Official State Migratory Marine Mammal is the Northern Right Whale
