September 17, 2009 is Constitution Day

Observed on the anniversary of the day the United States Constitution was signed - September 17, 1787, Constitution Day is a time to celebrate the birthday of your government and to recognize all citizens of this great country.

Can you name the four South Carolinians who signed the United States Constitution? They were Pierce Butler, Charles Pinckney, Charles Cotesworth Pinckney and John Rutledge. Portraits of Pierce Butler and John Rutledge are hanging in your State House.
