statement of estimated fiscal impact

Explanation of Fiscal Impact

State Expenditure

This bill eliminates the outdated code section which places the Division of Public Charities within the Office of the Attorney General and provides for the office's administration of the South Carolina Solicitation of Charitable Funds Act.

The Offices of the Attorney General and Secretary of State report that the implementation of this bill will have no expenditure impact, as the Division of Public Charities was moved to the Office of the Secretary of State from the Office of the Attorney General after 1998 pursuant to Section 33-56-10 et al.
