A JOINT RESOLUTION

TO APPROVE REGULATIONS OF THE DeparTment of Employment and Workforce, RELATING TO Offers of Work, DESIGNATED AS REGULATION DOCUMENT NUMBER 5163, PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 1, CHAPTER 23, TITLE 1 OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA CODE OF LAWS.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1.   The regulations of the Department of Employment and Workforce, relating to Offers of Work, designated as Regulation Document Number 5163, and submitted to the General Assembly pursuant to the provisions of Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 1 of the S.C. Code, are approved.

SECTION 2.   This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.

BY PROMULGATING AGENCY.

The Department of Employment and Workforce proposes amendments to R.47-23, Offers of Work, to clarify that offers of work may be made electronically and to replace a certification requirement with submission of competent evidence that an offer of work was communicated to the claimant by reasonable methods. The Notice of Drafting was published in the State Register on August 26, 2022.
