EXPLANATION: Directs no state funds be expended on the Next Generation Science Standards
Amend the bill, as and if amended, Part IB, Section 1,
DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, page 340, after line 29, by adding an
appropriately numbered paragraph to read:
/ (SDE: Next Generation Science Standards) No funds shall
be expended in the current fiscal year by the Department of
Education, the Education Oversight Committee , or the State
Board of Education to participate in, implement, adopt or
promote the Next Generation Science Standards
initiative./
Renumber sections to conform.
Amend totals and titles to conform.
