Amend the bill, as and if amended, Section 56-2-3100, as contained in SECTION 10, by deleting the SECTION in its entirety and inserting:
/ SECTION 10 .Chapter 2, Title 56 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:
"Section 56-2-3100.
It is unlawful to operate a moped:
(1) at a speed in
excess of thirty-five miles per hour on a public highway; or
(2) on a public highway
having a speed limit of greater than fifty-five miles per hour.
However, a moped is not prohibited from crossing an intersection
at a public road with a speed limit in excess of fifty-five
miles per hour." /
