    Amend the bill, as and if amended, by adding an appropriately numbered new SECTION to read:
/     "SECTION     __.     Section 63-7-20 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding an appropriately numbered item to read:

    (     )     'Near fatality' means an act that, as certified by a physician, places a child in serious or critical condition."         /

    Renumber sections to conform.
    Amend title to conform.
