Amend the bill, as and if amended, by striking all after the enacting words and inserting:
/ SECTION 1. Section 44-7-210(G) of the 1976 Code is amended to read:
"(G)
Notwithstanding any other provision of law, in a contested
case arising from the department's decision to grant or deny a
Certificate of Need application, grant or deny a request for
exemption under Section 44-7-170, or the issuance of a
determination regarding the applicability of Section 44-7-160,
the Administrative Law Court shall file a final decision
no later than eighteen months after the contested case is filed
with the Clerk of the Administrative Law Court, unless all
parties to the contested case consent to an extension or the
court finds substantial cause otherwise its decision
in the manner required by Section 1-23-600(H).
SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor. /
