EXPLANATION: Allow volunteer firefighters eligible for specific tax deduction to participate in the State Health Plan
Amend the bill, as and if amended, Part IB, Section 117, GENERAL
PROVISIONS, page 506, after line 2, by adding an appropriately
numbered paragraph to read:
/ (GP: SHP for Volunteer Firefighters) For the current
Fiscal Year, active volunteer firefighters who are eligible for
the income tax deduction pursuant to Section 12-6-1140 of the
1976 Code, and their eligible dependents, are eligible to
participate in the State Health and Dental Insurance Plan, upon
paying the full premium costs as determined by the Public
Employee Benefit Authority. /
Renumber sections to conform.
Amend totals and titles to conform.
