Amend the bill, as and if amended, by striking lines beginning on page 2, line 39 and ending on page 3, line 17 and inserting:
/ (C) The study committee must be composed of thirteen members appointed as follows:
(1) one member appointed by the Executive Director of the South Carolina Commission of Indigent Defense;
(2) one member appointed by the Executive Director of the South Carolina Commission on Prosecution Coordination;
(3) one member appointed by the Director of the South Carolina Department of Social Services or his designee;
(4) one member appointed by the Director of the Department of Juvenile Justice, one of whom must be currently employed in a Department of Juvenile Justice County office;
(5) one sitting Family Court Judge appointed by the Chief Justice of South Carolina;
(6) one member appointed by the Director of Mental Health;
(7) one member appointed by the Superintendent of Education;
(8) three of whom shall be members of the Senate, appointed by the Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee or his designee;
(9) three of whom shall be members of the House of Representatives, appointed by the Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee or his designee. /
