Amend the bill, as and if amended, Section 59-18-1620, as contained in PART VI, Help for Students in Underperforming Schools, SECTION 45, by adding an appropriately numbered subsection at the end to read:

/      ( )      the State Superintendent of Education may continue to provide intensive technical assistance to include assuming management of the school until improvement is sustained. /

Amend the bill further, Section 59-18-1640, as contained in PART VI, Help for Students in Underperforming Schools, SECTION 45, by adding an appropriately numbered subsection at the end to read:

/      ( )      the State Superintendent of Education may continue to provide intensive technical assistance to assuming management of the school district until improvement is sustained. /
