Reps. MAGNUSON and HADDON propose the following Amendment No. 5 to H. 4760 (COUNCIL\WAB\4760C008.SM.WAB20):

Reference is to Printer's Date 1/22/20-H.

Amend the bill, as and if amended, by striking all after the enacting clause and inserting:

/SECTION 1. Article 3, Chapter 18, Title 59 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 59-18-305.Beginning with the 2020 -2021 School Year, the district may elect to be exempt from standardized testing or assessments required by state or federal law. The district must notify the State Department of Education of the election."

SECTION2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor. /
