Senator SCOTT proposed the following amendment (419R042.SP.JS):

Amend the bill, as and if amended, page 61, line 17, by adding an appropriately numbered new SECTION to read:

/SECTION __. A. Article 1, Chapter 39, Title 59 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:

" Section 59-39-165.Every public school district shall establish an annual mandatory assembly program for each school in the district to facilitate personal student growth unless otherwise provided in a different format. The program must address issues regarding bullying, personal respect, respect for others, principles of harmonious coexistence, discipline, responsibility, and honor."

B.This SECTION takes effect on August 1, 2021. /
