Amend the bill, as and if amended, by adding the following appropriately numbered SECTION:

/ SECTION___. Article 1, Chapter 23, Title 16 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 16-23-40. Notwithstanding another provision of law to the contrary, a person convicted of a felony may carry a firearm once he has served his entire sentence, including probation or parole, or has received a pardon for the conviction." /
