Rep. JONES proposes the following Amendment No.     to H.4100 as introduced by Ways & Means

EXPLANATION: Reduces the Pandemic Stabilization Fund to offset lack of renewal fees from close-contact service providers

Amend the bill, as and if amended, Part IB, Section 117, GENERAL PROVISIONS, page 522, after line 35, by adding an appropriately numbered paragraph to read:

/ (GP: Close-contact service providers) The Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation may not charge renewal fees or enforce continuing education requirements for close-contact service providers, regulated by boards and commissions, who were ordered to close on April 1, 2020, at 5:00 p.m. by Executive Order 2020-17 on March 31, 2020, and extended by subsequent executive orders. This provision is effective for the fiscal year and only applies to such close-contact service providers credentialed by this State before the issuance of Executive Order 2020-17. The Pandemic Stabilization Fund is decreased by an amount sufficient to cover any revenue loss attributable to this proviso. /
