Rep. COBB-HUNTER proposes the following Amendment No. to H. 5399 (COUNCIL\VR\5399C047.CC.VR22):

Amend the bill, as and if amended, by striking all after the enacting words and inserting:

/ SECTION 1. Title 44 of the 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"CHAPTER 42

Women's Health and Right to Privacy Act

Section 44-42-10.Every woman in this State has the right to be secure in her person against unreasonable invasions of privacy, which shall include, but not be limited to, the right to make decisions about her body, health, family formation, and family life, including whether to carry a pregnancy to term."

SECTION2. Chapter 41, Title 44 of the 1976 Code is repealed.

SECTION3. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor. /
