Rep. HARRIS proposes the following Amendment No. to H.4025 as Passed By The House

EXPLANATION: Revokes carryforward unless certification is provided that funds were not spent on providing economic incentives to companies that offer benefits that include elective abortions and/or travel for abortions.

Amend the bill, as and if amended, Part IB, Section 50, DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE, page 403, after line 33, by adding an appropriately numbered proviso to read:

/(CMRC: Incentive Regulation) The Department of Commerce shall forfeit its authorized carryforward funds to the "Capital Income Tax Relief Fund" unless a certified letter is submitted by the Secretary of Commerce to the Governor, the President of the Senate, the Speaker of the House, and the State Treasurer affirming that the department did not use state-appropriated funds to provide economic incentives to companies that offer employee benefits that include elective abortions and/or travel for abortions./
