Rep. GOVAN proposes the following Amendment No. to H.5126 as introduced by Ways & Means

EXPLANATION: Directs SCDOT to expend funds to perform repairs on state roads atop private dams

Amend the bill, as and if amended, Part IB, Section 84, DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, page 458, after line 2, by adding an appropriately numbered proviso to read:

/ (DOT: Road Maintenance on Private Dams) Of the funds appropriated to the Department of Transportation, the Department is authorized to perform necessary repairs and maintenance to the roadway surface, guardrails, and base materials of any state-maintained road located atop a privately owned dam./

Renumber sections to conform.

Amend totals and titles to conform.
