Rep. HARRIS proposes the following Amendment No. to H.5126 as introduced by Ways & Means

EXPLANATION: Prohibits the State Election Commission from participating in the Electronic Registration Information Center (ERIC) and requires the funds to be used to provide free voter lists.

Amend the bill, as and if amended, Part IB, Section 102, ELECTION COMMISSION, page 486, after line 17, by adding an appropriately numbered proviso to read:

/(ELECT: Prohibit ERIC Participation) For the current fiscal year, the State Election Commission is prohibited from using any funds appropriated or authorized to participate in the Electronic Registration Information Center (ERIC). Any funds designated for participation in ERIC must be be used to defer the cost of providing free voter lists./

Renumber sections to conform.

Amend totals and titles to conform.
