Rep. CROMER proposes the following Amendment No. to H.5126 as introduced by Ways & Means

EXPLANATION: Requires the Executive Budget Office to revert Sec. 55- Dept. of Environmental Services to the same amounts and line titles as the General Appropriations Act of FY25-26.

Amend the bill, as and if amended, Part IB, Section 117, GENERAL PROVISIONS, page 572, after line 9, by adding an appropriately numbered proviso to read:

/(GP: DES Budget Reversion) For the current fiscal year, the Executive Budget Office is directed to revert Part 1A, Section 55, Department of Environmental Services, to the line item amounts and corresponding line titles as appropriated in Act 69 of 2025, the Fiscal Year 2025-26 Appropriations Act. The Executive Budget Office is authorized and directed to make all necessary technical and accounting adjustments in the South Carolina Enterprise Information System (SCEIS) to ensure the agency's budget structure and funding levels conform to this provision. Any surplus created by this reversion shall be remitted to the General Fund./
