Rep. ERICKSON proposes the following Amendment No. to H.5126 as Passed By The House

EXPLANATION: Directs the AG to collaborate with the Department of Education and EBO to transition the Child ID program to the AG by 1/1/27.

Amend the bill, as and if amended, Part IB, Section 117, GENERAL PROVISIONS, page 574, after line 29, by adding an appropriately numbered proviso to read:

/(GP: Program Transfer) For Fiscal Year 2026-27, the Office of Attorney General shall collaborate with the Department of Education and the Department of Administration, Executive Budget Office, to transition the Child ID program to the Office of Attorney General no later than January 1, 2027. The Department of Education shall provide student counts by districts to inform the number of kits needed for each school year./
