Rep. W. NEWTON proposes the following amendment (LC-5683.HDB0021H):

Amend the bill, as and if amended, by striking SECTION 3 and inserting:

SECTION 3. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, members of the boards, commissions, committees, and authorities of this State required by law to be elected or appointed from one of the State's respective congressional districts shall continue to serve and be elected or appointed from the existing seven congressional districts as constituted under Act 118 of 2022 until such time as the General Assembly establishes new congressional districts following the 2030 United States Decennial Census.
