Rep. WETMORE proposes the following amendment (LC-5683.HDB0076H):

Amend the bill, as and if amended, SECTION 4, by adding a subsection to read:

 (I) In the event a protest pursuant to is filed pursuant to Section 7-17-560 following the September 1, 2026, special primary runoff, the statewide general election scheduled for November 3, 2026, must be postponed until November 17, 2026, for all offices to allow adequate time for the adjudication and final resolution of the protest, the preparation of all general election ballots, and the timely transmission or mailing of ballots to military and overseas voters.
