Rep. RUTHERFORD proposes the following amendment (LC-5683.ECT0051H):

Amend the bill, as and if amended, by deleting SECTION 4.

Amend the bill further, by adding a new SECTION to read:

SECTION X. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, the congressional maps established by this act must be used as the benchmark map during the redistricting process following the 2030 United States Decennial Census.

Amend the bill further, by striking SECTION 5 and inserting:

SECTION 5. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor on January 1, 2030.

Renumber sections to conform.

Amend title to conform.
