Rep. GRANT proposes the following amendment (LC-5683.HDB0080H):

Amend the bill, as and if amended, by adding an appropriately numbered SECTION to read:

SECTION X. Any members of the General Assembly who, as part of the litigation challenging the current congressional district lines enacted in 2022, made statements under oath affirming or attesting to the constitutionality of the district lines and has now made statements to the contrary regarding the proposed district lines must be considered for immediate expulsion for possible perjury. Article III, Section 12 of the South Carolina Constitution provides that a two-thirds vote is required is expulsion, and the offense of perjury may warrant such action.

Renumber sections to conform.
