A BILL TO AMEND SECTION 22-5-520, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE AMOUNT OF RECOGNIZANCE FOR AN ACCUSED IN MAGISTRATE'S COURT, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT IF THE DEFENDANT SHALL FAIL TO APPEAR FOR THE TRAIL OR PROCEEDING REGARDING SUCH OFFENSE, THE MAGISTRATE MAY ESCHEAT TO THE AMOUNT OF THE RECOGNIZANCE.
