A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 7-7-230, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO VOTING PRECINCTS IN DORCHESTER COUNTY, SO AS TO REVISE THESE PRECINCTS AND THE DATE OF THE OFFICIAL MAP ON WHICH THE LINES OF THESE PRECINCTS ARE DELINEATED.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. Section 7-7-230 of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 422 of 1994, is further amended to read:

"Section 7-7-230. (A) In Dorchester County there are the following voting precincts:

(B) The precinct lines defining the above precincts are as shown on maps filed with the Division of Research and Statistical Services of the State Budget and Control Board designated as document P-35-94 P-3596 and as shown on certified copies provided to the State Election Commission and the Dorchester County Board of Voter Registration by the division.

(C) The polling places for the precincts provided in this section must be established by the Dorchester County Election Commission."

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
