AN ACT TO AMEND THE CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, BY ADDING SECTION 50-13-1198 SO AS TO PROHIBIT HERRING FISHING WITHIN ONE HUNDRED FEET OF THE FISH LIFT EXIT CHANNEL AT ST. STEVENS POWERHOUSE EXCEPT WITH HOOK AND LINE FROM MARCH FIRST THROUGH APRIL FIFTEENTH.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Herring fishing prohibited

SECTION 1. The 1976 Code is amended by adding:

"Section 50-13-1198. Herring fishing is prohibited within one hundred feet of the fish lift exit channel at St. Stevens Powerhouse except with hook and line from March first through April fifteenth."

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
