A BILL

TO AMEND SECTION 7-13-710, AS AMENDED, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO ACCEPTABLE FORMS OF IDENTIFICATION REQUIRED OF A PERSON WHEN HE PRESENTS HIMSELF TO VOTE, SO AS TO INCLUDE A VALID AND CURRENT SOUTH CAROLINA RESIDENT CONCEALED WEAPON PERMIT AS AN AUTHORIZED FORM OF IDENTIFICATION.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION    1.    Section 7-13-710(A) of the 1976 Code, as last amended by Act 27 of 2011, is further amended by adding:

"(6)    South Carolina resident concealed weapon permit issued pursuant to Article 4, Chapter 31, Title 23."

SECTION    2.    This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
