H 2973 Concurrent Resolution, By Harvin
A Concurrent Resolution to commemorate the thirty-first anniversary of the
historic landmark decision of the Supreme Court of the United States in the
case entitled Brown v. Board of Education which held that racial
discrimination in public education is unconstitutional and to recognize Harry
Briggs, Jr., from Clarendon County, an appellant in one of the five companion
cases dealing with state public schools, for his effort and courage to bring
an end the iniquitous separate but equal doctrine.
