H. 5103

A HOUSE RESOLUTION

TO EXPRESS THE PROFOUND SORROW OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOUTH CAROLINA HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES UPON THE DEATH OF MS. FRANCES "FRAN" CAROLE JACKSON OF AIKEN AND TO EXTEND THE DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO HER FAMILY AND MANY FRIENDS.

Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives were deeply saddened to learn of the death of Ms. Frances "Fran" Carole Jackson of Aiken on February 1, 2020, at the age of forty-nine; and

Whereas, Fran was born in Aiken on May 20, 1970, and is the daughter of Carolyn Winn Jackson and Charles Jackson, the stepdaughter of Pamela Jackson, paternal granddaughter of Frances Corley, sister of James "Pat" (Shelly) Jackson and Charles "Chuck" (Elizabeth) Jackson, special friend of Rich Dyche, and parent to her precious dog, Molly; and

Whereas, she was predeceased in death by her maternal grandparents, James C. Winn and Geneva R. Winn, and her paternal grandfather, Robert Corley; and

Whereas, Fran was a faithful member of Cedar Creek Church, where she was a committed Christian and worked diligently within its walls from the days of her youth; and

Whereas, she was a certified nurse assistant for Nuclear Care Partners, where she was a compassionate and gentle caregiver who developed a special bond with each of her patients; and

Whereas, Fran loved the Peanuts character, Snoopy, and adored all things pink, the color that was a poignant reminder of her personal battle with breast and brain cancer, as well as her many other patients who battled cancer; and

Whereas, Fran persevered despite insurmountable odds during her life but never lost her courage, sense of humor, spirit, or faith in a loving and caring God; and

Whereas, the South Carolina House of Representatives values the forty-nine years of life Fran lived with compassion and service to others. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:

That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives express their profound sorrow upon the death of Ms. Frances "Fran" Carole Jackson of Aiken and extend the deepest sympathy to her family and many friends.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ms. Frances "Fran" Carole Jackson.
