A JOINT RESOLUTION

TO REPLACE THE CONFEDERATE BATTLE FLAG AT ALL LOCATIONS WITHIN THE STATE CAPITOL COMPLEX AND ALL STATE OFFICE BUILDINGS WITH THE ORIGINAL FLAG OF THE CONFEDERATE STATES OF AMERICA, ALSO KNOWN AS THE "STARS AND BARS".

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

SECTION 1. The Confederate Battle Flag currently used on the State Capitol Complex and any state office buildings must be replaced with the original flag of the Confederate States of America, also known as the "Stars and Bars".

SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
