 A Joint Resolution proposing an amendment to Section 9 of Article III of the
 Constitution of South Carolina, 1895, relating to sessions of the General
 Assembly, so as to limit regular sessions of the General Assembly to forty
 statewide days unless extended by two-thirds of the members of each house; to
 delete the provision for limiting compensation to forty days; to provide that
 per diem and subsistence shall be paid to House members for even-numbered year
 organizational sessions as provided by law; to provide that members of the
 General Assembly shall receive such compensation as provided by law and to
 delete obsolete provisions relating to previous sessions.-at
