H 2057 General Bill, By H.H. Keyserling and F.X. Archibald
A Bill to amend Sections 16-23-50, as amended, 23-31-140, and 23-31-190, Code
of Laws of South Carolina, 1976, relating to the unlawful purchase and
carrying of a pistol and to application prior to the retail purchase of a
pistol, so as to increase the fine from not more than two thousand dollars to
not more than ten thousand dollars and imprisonment from not more than two
years to not more than ten years and delete the specific penalty for
unlawfully carrying a pistol and provide a waiting period of seven days from
the date of application before delivery to the purchaser
