A Bill to amend Section 23-35-70, Code of Laws of South Carolina, 1976,
relating to wholesale, retail, and jobbers' licenses to sell fireworks, so as
to further provide for the issuance of these licenses and to further provide
for the manner in which retail licenses are approved; and to amend Section
40-56-10, relating to the State Board of Pyrotechnic Safety, so as to provide
that the State Fire Marshal rather than the Division of General Services shall
supervise the enforcement of the laws and regulations of the board and the
personnel necessary to carry out the duties of the board.
