A JOINT RESOLUTION TO PROVIDE THAT THE SCHOOL DAY OF DECEMBER 16, 1997, MISSED
BY THE STUDENTS OF OLYMPIA SCHOOL OF RICHLAND COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT ONE WHEN
THE SCHOOL WAS CLOSED DUE TO A FIRE AND EXPLOSION AT LINDAU CHEMICAL COMPANY
IS EXEMPTED FROM THE MAKE-UP REQUIREMENT OF THE DEFINED MINIMUM PLAN THAT

DAY OF DECEMBER 16, 1997, MISSED BY THE STUDENTS OF
OLYMPIA SCHOOL OF RICHLAND COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT
ONE WHEN THE SCHOOL WAS CLOSED DUE TO A FIRE AND
EXPLOSION AT LINDAU CHEMICAL COMPANY IS EXEMPTED

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
School day missed forgiven
SECTION 1. The school day of December 16, 1997, missed by
the students of Olympia School of Richland County School District One
when the school was closed due to a fire and explosion at Lindau
Chemical Company is exempted from the make-up requirement of the
defined minimum plan that school days missed due to extreme weather or
other circumstances be made up.
Time effective
SECTION 2. This joint resolution takes effect upon approval by
the Governor.
