THEIR PARTICIPATION IN PROVIDING EACH MEMBER OF THE SENATE WITH A BEAUTIFUL
LEATHER-BOUND INSCRIBED BIBLE.

A SENATE RESOLUTION
TO EXTEND GRATITUDE AND APPRECIATION TO SENATOR MICHAEL FAIR, MR. BEN GILLIARD, MR. JIM WILLIAMS, AND REVEREND DR. GEORGE MEETZE FOR THEIR PARTICIPATION IN PROVIDING EACH MEMBER OF THE SENATE WITH A BEAUTIFUL LEATHER-BOUND INSCRIBED BIBLE.
Whereas, Senator Michael Fair presented all the members of the Senate with beautiful leather-bound bibles inscribed with each Senator's name on Tuesday, January 15, 2002; and
Whereas, this gracious act was facilitated by the efforts of Mr. Ben Gilliard of Crossway Christian Supply and Mr. Jim Williams of Thomas Nelson Publishing Company; and
Whereas, this gift was accepted on behalf of the Senate by the Senate Chaplain, Reverend Dr. George E. Meetze who honored the occasion with his inspirational words; and
Whereas, the South Carolina Senate wishes to extend its deepest gratitude to Senator Fair, Mr. Gilliard, Mr. Williams and Chaplain Meetze. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate:
That the deepest gratitude and appreciation is extended to Senator Fair, Mr. Gilliard, Mr. Williams and Chaplain Meetze for their participation in this kind and generous act.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Senator Fair, Mr. Gilliard, Mr. Williams and Chaplain Meetze.
