A SENATE RESOLUTION
CONGRATULATING THE TRUE BELIEVERS CHURCH OF COLUMBIA ON THE CELEBRATION OF ITS SIXTEENTH ANNIVERSARY AND MORTGAGE BURNING.
Whereas, The True Believers Church came into existence on February 8, 1986, and was formally organized in Columbia; it was a family-united church; True Believers began with twelve members, and, today, there are ninety-five active members and fifteen uncommitted members; the church now worships in a grand edifice on Oakland Avenue in Columbia and is on the rise; and
Whereas, on Sunday, February 17, 2002, The True Believers Church will celebrate its sixteenth anniversary and mortgage burning - an occasion of great joy and accomplishment. Now, therefore,
Be it resolved by the Senate:
That the Senate of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulates the True Believers Church of Columbia on the celebration of its sixteenth anniversary and mortgage burning.
Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to The True Believers Church.
