A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING THE YELLOW JACKETS OF IRMO HIGH SCHOOL ON WINNING THE CLASS AAAA BOYS STATE BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIP FOR 1994.

Whereas, the Yellow Jackets of Irmo High School defeated Hartsville High School in the state semifinals and Dorman High School of Spartanburg in the state finals to claim the boys Class AAAA state basketball championship for 1994; and

Whereas, the Irmo High boys had a superb season, and the team members' patience, hard work, dedication, unity, and obvious talent paid off in the end in a very big way; and

Whereas, the team's head coach is Tim Whipple, who has guided this year's basketball team and the Irmo program overall to great heights and tremendous success; and

Whereas, the student-athletes who comprised the 1994 Irmo High state championship team are outstanding young men who are highly deserving of recognition and congratulations. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulates the Yellow Jackets of Irmo High School on winning the Class AAAA boys state basketball championship for 1994.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Irmo High School boys basketball team in care of Head Coach Tim Whipple.
