A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

CONGRATULATING THE BOYS TENNIS TEAM OF FORT MILL HIGH SCHOOL ON WINNING THE 1994 STATE CLASS AAA TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIP.

Whereas, the boys tennis team of Fort Mill High School was the winner of the 1994 State Class AAA tennis championship; and

Whereas, the Yellow Jackets defeated Hilton Head High School 4-2 at the Richland Tennis Center in Columbia for the crown, the Jackets' first title in twenty years; and

Whereas, Fort Mill finished the 1994 campaign with an outstanding record of 13-2; and

Whereas, the Yellow Jackets were guided to the 1994 state championship by Head Coach Willie Ware, one of the best tennis coaches in the Palmetto State; and

Whereas, the talent, hard work, dedication, and unity of the members of the Yellow Jackets tennis team paid off handsomely as they won the state championship; and

Whereas, the members of the General Assembly are delighted to have this opportunity to recognize such an outstanding group of student-athletes. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives, the Senate concurring:

That the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina, by this resolution, congratulates the boys tennis team of Fort Mill High School on winning the 1994 State Class AAA tennis championship.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to the Fort Mill High School boys tennis team in care of Head Coach Willie Ware.
