A BILL
TO ABOLISH THE RICHLAND COUNTY HISTORIC
PRESERVATION COMMISSION AND DEVOLVE ITS POWERS,
DUTIES, AND FUNCTIONS UPON THE HISTORIC COLUMBIA
FOUNDATION; AND TO REPEAL ACT 69 OF 1963, AS
AMENDED, RELATING TO THE RICHLAND COUNTY
HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION.
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:
SECTION 1. The Richland County Historic Preservation
Commission is abolished and its powers, duties, and functions are
devolved upon the Historic Columbia Foundation.
SECTION 2. Act 69 of 1963, as amended, is repealed.
SECTION 3. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
