A house RESOLUTION
to express profound sorrow upon the passing of Lieutenant Colonel Walter Lester "Tripp" hunter III and to extend the deepest sympathy to his family and many friends.
Whereas, the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives were deeply saddened to learn that Lieutenant Colonel Walter Lester "Tripp" Hunter III passed away at the age of sixty-three on May 5, 2024; and
Whereas, born on
October 20, 1960, Tripp was the son
Whereas, Tripp worked with Walter Hunter Construction Company, retired, and returned to work in a position with Lexington County; and
Whereas, in the proud
tradition of the
Whereas, a man of faith, Tripp was an active member of Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church for over twenty-seven years. He dutifully served the church as a deacon and in other capacities; and
Whereas, Tripp wanted everyone to remember the good times, to always be mindful of the needs and care of others, and to smile and say he had a good life when they think of him; and
Whereas, leaving to
cherish Tripp's memory are his wife, Lyn Coleman Hunter;
Be it resolved by the House of Representatives:
That the members of the South Carolina House of Representatives, by this resolution, express profound sorrow upon the passing of Lieutenant Colonel Walter Lester "Tripp" Hunter III and extend the deepest sympathy to his family and many friends.
