AN ACT TO PROVIDE THE TIME FOR TAKING OFFICE FOR THE MEMBERS OF THE AIKEN COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Members of board to take office

Section 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of law, beginning with the general election of 1980, all members of the Aiken County Board of Education shall take office at the first board meeting in January following their election.

Time Effective

Section 2. This act shall take effect upon approval by the Governor.
