AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR AN ADDITIONAL MAGISTRATE FOR YORK COUNTY AND TO PROVIDE FOR HIS TERM, JURISDICTION, AND JURY AREA.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Additional magistrate for York County

SECTION 1. In addition to the magistrates for York County provided by law, there is an additional magistrate for the county to serve for a term provided by law and until his successor is appointed and qualifies. He has countywide jurisdiction with the same powers and authority as any other magistrate within the county. The jury area for this additional magistrate is the Catawba-Ebenezer magisterial jury area.

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
