AN ACT TO REDUCE THE NUMBER OF MAGISTRATES IN LEE COUNTY AND TO PROVIDE FOR THE EXPIRATION OF THE TERMS OF TWO MAGISTRATES.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Number of Lee County magistrates reduced

SECTION 1. The number of magistrates in Lee County is reduced from nine to seven. The magistrates whose terms expire on the effective date of this act are the magistrates whose terms are scheduled to expire on December 31, 1990.

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
