AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 42-9-30, CODE OF LAWS OF SOUTH CAROLINA, 1976, RELATING TO THE AMOUNT OF COMPENSATION AND THE PERIOD OF DISABILITY UNDER THE WORKERS' COMPENSATION LAW FOR CERTAIN INJURIES, SO AS TO INCREASE THE DISABILITY PERIOD FOR THE LOSS OF AN EYE.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of South Carolina:

Period of loss of eye increased

SECTION 1. Section 42-9-30(16) of the 1976 Code is amended to read:

"(16) For the loss of an eye, sixty-six and two-thirds percent of the average weekly wages during one hundred forty weeks;"

Time effective

SECTION 2. This act takes effect upon approval by the Governor.
